With 17 years of teaching, over 2,000 hours of yoga training, a poetry degree from Columbia College, and as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, Amber guides students through yoga that heals both body and soul.
Her unique approach weaves together the anatomical precision of physical therapy, the linguistic beauty of poetry, the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, the practical application of props and alignment, and the transformative power of conscious breathing.
Amber's teachings are heavily influenced by the Krishnamacharya lineage having completed multiple trainings at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago. I am also influenced by Gabriel Halpern of the Iyengar tradition, Smart Yoga (Annie Carpenter), Jason Crandell's postural yoga, and Para Yoga which is in the Himalayan tradition.
