2021 is a chance to renew and begin again. YOGA 101 is for the absolute beginner, those returning to the mat after time away, or anyone interested in deepening their understanding of yoga.
In this virtual series you will:
- learn common yoga poses and terms
- explore alignment suggestions
- experience the benefits of yoga
- make a healthy new habit
All levels and abilities are welcome.

Learn and practice meditation and breath work techniques to help you improve your overall health and well being, and reduce stress and anxiety.
As a response to ongoing stressors we experience an increase of cortisol (the stress hormone) and this can keep us in a constant state of anxiety or fight or flight mode. Over time without the ability to self regulate and to return to rest and digest mode our physical and metal health becomes compromised.
Meditation has been proven effective to reduce the levels of cortisol and increase GABA levels (the calm response). Join us in this series and learn simple techniques for these complex times to help regulate your bodily systems and calm the mind.
