Satya Yoga

YOGA FOR ALL LEVELS

YOGA FOR ALL LEVELSYOGA FOR ALL LEVELS

Brian DiBartolomeo

1. How did you find yoga? What does it mean to you?

I found yoga during a season of big transition—seeking something grounding while trying to rediscover who I was. At first, it was the physical practice that drew me in, but over time it became a pathway to self-acceptance, stillness, and clarity. Yoga is now the place I return to daily to center myself and remember who I am. Along the way, I discovered Ram Dass meditations and music, which spoke to me deeply and helped me continue uncovering my true self. Powerful.

2. If you could teach people anything through yoga, what would it be?

You don’t have to earn rest, love, or belonging—you already deserve them simply by being. Yoga helps us remember our wholeness. At the end of the day, you’re the only one who can truly care for yourself, and there’s real power in that. Keep coming back to your center. Breathe. And begin again.

3. How does the Satya Yoga community impact you?

Satya has been both my landing pad and my launch point. It’s a space where I’ve felt seen, supported, and celebrated—not just as a student, but as a human. The community here reminds me that growth and grace can coexist, and that like-minded people really do exist to walk beside you on your personal journey.

4. What’s something that would surprise people about you?

Music moves me—I like it loud so I can feel it in my bones. The sun energizes me, and water always brings me home. Being near the lake is how I recharge. Oh and I can recite most Golden Girl lines and I watch Judge Judy every night! Before yoga I was in corporate America for 30+years.

5. How long have you been practicing yoga?

Fitness has been part of my daily practice for decades. Yoga has been on and off for nearly a decade, but over the last five years, yoga has become a daily part of how I care for myself—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

6. Where did you receive your training and when?

Right here—at Satya Yoga in beautiful, sunny Saugatuck, Michigan! I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in mid-2025.

7. What are some signature things about your classes?

My classes invite self-reflection, grounding, and gentleness—celebrating the body you brought to the mat. I often incorporate breathwork, optional journaling when appropriate, and themes centered on identity and presence. Every class is designed to be inclusive and supportive, so students leave feeling more connected to themselves, with tools they can integrate into daily life.
